'या रब' ये अपनी ज़िंदादिली ,

ढ़ीठ है, कमबख्त जाती ही नहीं,

बेतकल्लुफ़, बेफ़िक्र फिरती मिली,

हुआ करे जो भी, रहे ज़िंदा दिल ही!

...साक़ी है।

'या रब' तू ही मेरे ग़म का साक़ी है,

पिलाए जा, कौन सा ग़म बाकी है।

...गुज़ारी है!

झूठ कहते हैं रक़ीब तमाम,

वो कभी गए ही नहीं,

एक उम्र से वो मेरे ज़ेहन में रहते है,

एक उम्र उन्होंने मेरी नज़रों में गुज़ारी है!
